Chief's Welcome Message

On behalf of the men and women serving as law enforcement officers for the Town of Vinton Police Department, I’m honored to have the privilege of serving this remarkable community as Chief of Police. 

As Chief, I believe that a strong bond should exist between the community, our business partners, religious facilities, public or private schools, and our community-oriented police officers in the town. Our policing philosophy balances on a foundation of traditional policing concepts with modern innovative and progressive methods to attempt to connect with the citizens of our community. 

Community problems are best addressed by working in partnership with our community, and most importantly the citizens. It’s my goal as Chief of Police to set an example within our community, and to continually strive to improve public relations and increase public confidence.

Along with the many talented members of this agency, we are here to listen to your needs and strive to be open and honest with the community, for whom we humbly serve. I truly believe in maintaining a high level of professionalism as the leader of the police department, as well as maintaining a quality of public safety to our citizens noting collaborative efforts that show positive results with consistent improvements towards community relations.

As our police department grows in this new century, I encourage you to share your innovative ideas with me through this partnership in improving our community along with the police department.
